A FINE ICON SHOWING THE FIVE MARTYRS OF SEBASTE WITH A SILVER-GILT RIZA Russian, 19th century (icon), Russian, Moscow, 1884 (riza) Tempera on wood panel. The haloes made of gold. he depicted saints are Evstratiy, Avksentiy, Evgeniy, Mardariy, and Orest. Overlaid with a richly chased silver-gilt riza. Marked with city hallmark, assayer's mark, 84 standard and master's mark 'I?' in Cyrillic. Partially restored. 36 x 30 cm.
