A FINE ICON SHOWING THE IVERSKAYA MOTHER OF GOD WITH A SILVER-GILT RIZA Russian, circa 1800 (icon), Russian, St. Petersburg, 1811 (riza) Tempera on wood panel. Finely executed in great detail. Painted with bright colours and gold for highlighting the details. The silver-gilt riza repoussé and chased with foliate frieze, the haloes set with pastes, the robes in silver filigree. Marked with city hallmark, assayer's mark, 84 standard and master's mark 'LYuB' in Cyrillic. Minor losses. 33.5 x 27.8 cm.
