A FINE ICON SHOWING THE TIKHVINSKAYA MOTHER OF GOD WITH RIZA Russian, early 19th century Tempera on wood panel with kovcheg. All rendered in bright colours and with the drapery heightened with chrysography. Two selected saints on the borders: Guardian Angel and the nun St. Elisabeth. Minor areas of retouching. 31.2 x 27 cm.
