A FINE DOUBLE-SIDED TABLETKA SHOWING THE WOMAN OF SAMARA AND THE HEALING OF THE LAME MAN Russian, 16th century Finely painted in great detail, the haloes made of gold. Painted in strong colours, the front with Christ with his right hand raised seated, with Christ conversing with the woman of Samara at the well, in a mountainous background with the city. The background stripped to gesso, minimally restored. 15 x 12 cm (with later frame).
