A LARGE AND FINE ICON SHOWING THE MEDICAL SAINTS COSMAS AND DAMIAN WITH A SILVER-GILT RIZA Russian, 18th century (icon), Russian, Moscow, 1768 (riza) Tempera on wood panel. Executed against a golden background. The garment folds emphasised with gold striations. Overlaid with a finely and richly chased and embossed silver-gilt riza decorated with scrolls and rocailles. Marked with city hallmark, assayer's mark and master's mark. Partially restored. 35.5 x 30.8 cm.
