A VERY LARGE ICON SHOWING THE ARCHANGEL MICHAEL FLANKED BY STS. FLORUS AND LAURUS Russian, 2nd half 17th century Tempera on wood panel. The haloes made of gold. Two selected saints on the borders. The painting rendered finely and in great detail, the predominant greens and reds standing out against the green background. Vertical crack and border restored. 70 x 52.3 cm.
