A LARGE SIGNED AND DATED ICON SHOWING THE TRANSFIGURATION OF CHRIST Russian, Krasnoyarsk, Timofey Semenovitch Rostovtsev, dated 1820 Oil on wood panel. Signed in Cyrillic and dated lower left. Minimally restored. A very interesting depiction, in which Raphael's Transfiguration served as the model for this icon. 62.5 x 38.7 cm.
