AN ICON SHOWING THE MOTHER OF GOD OF THE SIGN Russian, late 18th century Tempera on wood panel. The haloes and background made of gold. Two selected saints on the borders: Guardian Angel and St. Anne the Prophetess. Minimally restored, the border stripped to gesso. 36.6 x 29.5 cm.
