AN ICON SHOWING THE TIKHVINSKAYA MOTHER OF GOD WITH A SILVER-GILT AND CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL OKLAD Russian, 19th century (icon), Russian, St. Petersburg, 1894 (oklad) Oil on wood panel with velvet backing. Overlaid with a chased silver-gilt oklad. The drapery repoussé. Marked with city hallmark, assayer's mark, 84 standard and master's mark 'E.G.P.' in Cyrillic. The later applied halo and spandrels with cloisonné enamel in shades of blue, white, green and red. Partially restored. 30.9 x 26.5 cm.
