A SMALL ICON SHOWING THE IVERSKAYA MOTHER OF GOD WITH A SILVER-GILT AND CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL OKLAD Russian, Moscow, Pavel Ovchinnikov, 1889 (oklad) Tempera on wood panel with velvet backing. The oklad decorated in brightly coloured cloisonné enamel in floral and geometric patterns, the outer edges raised to resemble half-columns. Marked with city hallmark, assayer's mark, 84 standard and master's mark 'P. OVCHINNIKOV' in Cyrillic with Imperial warrant. Overpainted in recent decades. 8 x 6.5 cm.
