A MONUMENTAL ICON SHOWING THE MANDYLION WITH A SILVER AND METAL OKLAD Russian, 18th century (icon), Russian, Kostroma, FEdor Ilitch Serebryanikov, 1797 (cloth), Russian, circa 1860 (riza) Oil on wood panel. The cloth finely chased and repoussé. Marked with city hallmark, assayer's mark and master's mark 'FS' in Cyrillic. The silvered brass riza decorated with strapwork. Minor losses. 106.5 x 53 cm.
