Along the edges, among others, are depicted the Mother of God Pokrov, St. Nicholas of Myra, the Prophet Elijah, the Old Testament Trinity, the Baptism of Christ, a hermit, the warrior saints George and Demetrius, the Crucifixion, St. Stephen, the Descent into Hell, and the Ascension.
