A RARE ICON SHOWING THE DORMITION OF A SAINT WITH A SILVER BASMA Russian, Moscow, 1780 (basma), 20th century (icon) Tempera on wood panel with velvet backing. The borders overlaid with a chased and embossed silver basma decorated with scrolls. Marked with city hallmark, assayer's mark and master's mark. Minor losses, partially restored. 34.7 x 27.8 cm.
