A STAUROTHEK ICON SHOWING THE CRUCIFIXION FLANKED BY STS. PETER THE APOSTLE AND ANNE Russian, circa 1880 Tempera on wood panel. A brass crucifix set into the panel. The wood gilded and incised to resemble a chased gilded silver oklad. The border painted in faux enameling. Gilding partially worn, minimally restored. 30.6 x 35.5 cm.
