A SILVER-GILT CUTLERY SET WITHIN CASE Russian, Moscow, 1884 Comprising twelve forks, twelve knives and twelve spoons. Engraved with flowers. Marked with city hallmark, assayer's mark, 84 standard and master's mark 'IA' in Cyrillic. On the steel blades, a Cyrillic maker's mark 'KONDRATOV'. On the lid of the cutlery box, a Latin inscription: To the most beloved teacher, from the students of the Equestrian School of the Cathedral of Reval, with pious and grateful hearts, in the year 1886'. With an enclosed letter featuring a handwritten dedication, dated 1886. 16.5-21.2 cm long, 740 gr (without knives).
