A GIFT FROM TSAR NICHOLAS II OF RUSSIA: SABER STAND WITH SILVER DECOR WITH CROWNED ENAMELED ALLIANCE COAT OF ARMS Russian, 1913 Wood, silver, partially enameled in blue and red. On the back a label with information on the provenance 'Hemmelmark. Naval saber, silver with large damask blade. Gift from H.R.H. Tsar Nicholas of Russia. May 24, 1913'. With an alliance coat of arms with a Prussian black eagle looking to the left and a lion of the Grand Dukes of Hesse-Darmstadt. The wife of Heinrich, Prince of Prussia, was Irene of Hesse-Darmstadt, the sister of the last Russian Empress Alexandra Feodorovna. Wood slightly rubbed. 30 cm high, 33 cm long.
