LARGE FIGURE OF A SAINT (PROBABLY CATHERINE) German, around 1480/ 1500 Walnut, carved in relief, stained dark, flattened on the back, on a plinth. H. 100 cm. Verso old auction label from Sotheby's. Above an oval-shaped plinth, a full-figure depiction of St. Catherine in a richly draped robe, facing the viewer frontally. Damage and rest, attributes lost.
