KRUZIFIX* Germany or France, 19th century Ivory, carved in relief, with wooden cross (h. 37 cm, secondary). Figure h. 18, w. 13, d. 4.5 cm, weight approx. 208. Sculpturally carved ivory body of Christ, in the four-nail type, girded loincloth, almost parallel legs and raised arms. Above the corpus the inscription 'INRI' and at his feet 2 crossed bones.
