MARIA IMMACULATA IN THE WALL SHRINE South German, 17th/18th c. Ivory, dragon carved from wood, on red velvet, in small glazed oak wall shrine (h. 50x40x18 cm). H. 20, w. 12, d. 3 cm. Luchtenberg collection inventory number 'B/b 34'. Sculptural representation of Mary, looking heavenward, wearing wrinkled robe and flowing cloak.
