RELIEF THE DESCENT FROM THE CROSS OF JESUS Flanders or Westphalia, 16th century. Oak, carved in relief, sculpturally carved, stained dark, flattened on the back. H. 48, w. 38, d. 15 cm, weight approx. 6,17 kg. The Flemish relief artfully depicts the moment when Christ is taken down from the cross.
