PAINFUL RELIEF OF THE MOTHER OF GOD Lower Bavaria, around 1760 Wood, carved in relief, flattened and slightly hollowed on the back, painted. H. 80, w. 36, d. 13 cm, weight approx. 5 kg. Presumably from a crucifixion group. Part. bumped, losses to mount, verso anobia attack and stress crack, partially repainted. Provenance: acquired in 1960 from the art dealer Josef Göttler in Wasserburg.
