SEATED CHRIST AS THE MAN OF SORROWS South German, late 17th century. Wood, carved in full relief, painted in color, partially gilded, on a rock-like base. H. 35, w. 18, d. 16 cm, weight approx. 1.22 kg. Partly bumped and overpainted, losses to mount, rest, min. dam. Provenance: Acquired on December 8, 1957 at the 2nd German Art and Antiques Fair in Munich.
