STANDING SAINT VIKTOR Lower Rhenish, probably Kalkar school, around 1500 Oak wood, fully sculptured carved, slightly flattened on the back, on base. H. 56, w. 19, d. 16 cm, weight approx. 3,99 kg. Luchtenberg collection inventory number 'B/m 15'. Full-scale depiction of St. Victor, wearing a beret and a cloak over his armor, holding a sword hilt in his left hand (blade missing.) Part. bumped and rest., hands repositioned, stress cracks on front and back. Provenance: Luchtenberg Foundation.
